昨天发现Gmail notifier一直报错，cannot connect to server，但直接访问Gmail却没有任何问题。把瑞星和360关闭仍然如此。百度一下发现是开启https强制连接的后果。解决方法是下载一个Gmail notifier补丁。下载页面地址：http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=9429 按照上面的提示安装就可以了。

上被封的网站除了proxy以及TOR和JAP以外还有办法，那就是VPN。这里推荐一个瑞典的VPN服务商Relakks，提供30天免费试用，带宽16M，使用后感觉速度极快，比TOR和JAP快的多，打开wikipedia基本上3秒之内搞定。30天以后貌似可以修改MAC地址继续注册，继续使用，此乃chiong的推断，虽未经证实但理论上成立。

Tags:relakks 免费VPN 网络雅虎前几天推出了Ymail和rocketmail为后缀的邮箱服务，实际上就是yahoo英国邮箱的另外两种名称。我赶紧注册了一下ymail，用户名最低可以是4个字母。顺利注册后进行收发信测试，先用ymail向gmail和ymail本身邮箱发了N封邮件结果一封都没有收到，而用gmail向ymail发信则顺利收到。也就是说ymail现在只能收信而不能发信，不知道我的情况是不是个例。我注册ymail的原因主要是测试是不是结尾带有广告，以现在的情况看是不行了。另外ymail速度明显比yahoo.com和雅虎中国的慢。总结：ymail只适合尝鲜，作为主力邮箱使用大可不必。注册地址：www.ymail.com
从papu处得到消息，早期注册的yahoo.com.cn邮箱切换成英文界面后邮件结尾的广告会自动去除，另外可以直接开启POP和自动转发功能。我测试了一下对中文的支持没有问题，不会出现乱码的问题。讨厌邮件结尾有广告的朋友不妨一试。
